£12.00 per hour / £15,028.00 per annum  

24 hours per week - 0900-1800, 4 day rolling rota

The opportunity: 

Abbeyfield Wales, Flint is a supported (sheltered) house offering retirement living to older people who want to remain independent without the worry of maintaining their own home. 

As a Deputy House Manager, you’ll provide delicious and nutritious meals for our tenants. You’ll be sourcing fresh food, working to a budget, supporting to lead the team alongside the House Manager and adding some flavour to our tenants’ lives! 

Linc Cymru are offering the opportunity to join our team as a Deputy House Manager / Cook at Abbeyfield House, Flint, working 24 hours a week. 

 

What we need from you: 

  • To be responsible for the health, safety, and wellbeing of the residents. 
  • To develop a homely, welcoming, safe, and well managed environment for residents to live in. 
  • To be responsible for all services that are delivered in the house(s). 
  • To ensure the continuity of a meal service that is nutritious, provides a good variety, is well planned, and caters for any dietary needs.  
  • Qualifications including NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation/ Catering and Food Hygiene Level 2.  
  • To deliver a daily nutritious & varied meal service to the House residents within a pre-determined budget.   
  • To be responsible for the welfare, safety, and security of the House residents 
  • To be responsible for the security of the building and its contents. 
  • To ensure that the house is well connected to the local community. 
  • To supervise and manage house staff and volunteers. 
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the house.
