We are offering the exciting opportunity to join our team as a House Manager at our Abbeyfield House, Abergele working 32 hours a week, over a 4-day rolling rota, no split shifts, no evening or early mornings. Excellent work life balance.
We provide residents with the privacy and independence of having their own affordable accommodation, combined with support of professional, dedicated staff and the companionship of other residents.
You will be responsible for the health, safety, and wellbeing of the residents and developing a homely, welcoming, safe, and well managed environment for residents to thrive and feel included within the local community. Please read the attached job description for further information on this role.
What we need from you:
Communication skills – you’ll work closely with the Deputy House Manager, domestic assistants as well as the residents and their families, so it is important that you are friendly, approachable, and welcoming.
Team player – you’ll be leading the team so you should be able to work alongside others well, but also use your own initiative to work alone when required.
Great customer service skills – as well as excellent communication skills, you should be able to provide excellent customer service. Our residents are our customers, so we are looking for someone who can go above and beyond to support them and their needs. It is important that the home is well connected to the local community, so we are looking for someone who is confident to introduce themselves to new people and arrange events and activities for our residents.
Working knowledge of health and safety procedures – getting the job done safely is key. You’ll need to have a Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate and knowledge of basic dietary and nutritional requirements.
