£63,332 per annum.

Based at Head Office, Cardiff, CF24 1GG, with regular travel to sites 

 

The opportunity:

We’re looking for someone who has extensive post-qualification experience at a senior level in a development environment, ideally with emphasis on Pre-Contract (Land and Planning). You will positively contribute to the achievement of the Group’s Growth Strategy and ensure the effective delivery of mixed tenure new build housing developments as well as complex refurbishment schemes. 

 

What we need from you: 

  • Experience of leading in the management and coordination of new schemes with a focus on Pre-Contract matters. Also on negotiating terms of contract e.g. land acquisition, progressing projects through acquisition, planning and tender stages with a key focus on acquisition and planning to drive the Group’s Growth Strategy.   
  • Ability to build and maintain strong external business relationships including but not limited to Welsh Government, local authority partners, property agencies, developers, solicitors, and valuers.
  • Preparing consultant terms of appointments, check and process fee applications. Supervise and monitor partnering consultant performance to ensure compliance with service standards.
  • Preparing Social Housing Grant (and other) scheme submissions and grant claims. Liaising with Welsh Government and Local Authority during the pre-contract phase to secure support and developer subsidy towards pipeline projects.
  • Ability to manage tender and construction stages if and when required.
  • Effective communication with all team member, directors and manager across the Group.
  • Provide support to the Development Director and Senior Development Manager in the management of procurement contracts for projects and programmes of work to quality standards, performance standards and cost parameters agreed by Board.
  • Full Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
